BARS+TONE -- The view of San Francisco was expansive from the 11th floor Board room of the old Hamm’s Brewery building. BARS+TONE hosted the Greater San Francisco Ad Club’s Outlook Meeting that was attended by the 2010-11 GSFAC Board members.
The Outlook was rosy, exciting and the meeting was productive: more events this year, more benefits for the members, more enthusiasm from everybody involved. GSFAC is the advertising community’s best link to “What’s Happening in Advertising”.
Some of the ideas and plans that were presented include a new mantra: “Connecting and Celebrating the San Francisco Advertising Community.” A value-added agenda for members will drive the club’s programs and events planning. GSFAC plans to have 10 events during the July 2010 to June 2011 fiscal year including a Jobs Fair this Fall and the ADDY Awards Gala on February 26, 2011.
In addition, there will be mixers & workshop events to facilitate networking and career enhancement.
The promised new, improved website and social media network will be up and running in September. You will see an announcement come through Facebook and in an email blast. The continuing focus on education in advertising and marketing from student scholarships to “Job Fair” and to providing young professionals with an entrée to ad agency management and HR directors through the “Career Panel” event will be strengthened. This coming year is a winner!
